Terms of Service

Effective: 1 March 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or placing an order through CrossKitchen you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to customers; restaurant partners are subject to a separate partner agreement.

2. The service

CrossKitchen is an online marketplace that connects customers with local restaurant partners that prepare calorie-precise meals. We calculate the exact ingredient quantities required to meet your stated calorie target and transmit the specification to the restaurant. CrossKitchen is an intermediary — the contract for the preparation and sale of food is between you and the restaurant.

3. Orders and payments

An order becomes binding once the restaurant accepts it in the CrossKitchen portal. You may cancel an order within two minutes of placing it via the app without charge. After this window, cancellations are subject to the restaurant's discretion.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By placing an order you authorise CrossKitchen to charge your payment method for the full order total, including applicable taxes and any delivery fee.

CrossKitchen deducts a service commission from each order before remitting the net amount to the restaurant on a weekly basis.

4. Refunds

If there is a problem with your order — incorrect items, unacceptable quality, or non-delivery — you may submit a refund request through the app within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery or pickup time. CrossKitchen will review the request and, if approved, process the refund via the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

5. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it promptly if it changes. You may not share your account or allow others to place orders on your behalf.

6. Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Submit false allergen information that could harm yourself or others.
  • Attempt to circumvent pricing, commission structures, or payment processing.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or automate interactions with the service.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes third-party rights.

7. Liability

CrossKitchen provides the platform "as is" and makes no warranties regarding uptime, accuracy of nutritional calculations, or restaurant performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrossKitchen's aggregate liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the total amount you paid in the three months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Either party may terminate at any time; outstanding orders and payments will be honoured.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CrossKitchen is registered. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
